Adaptive Technology

Overview

Our department is unique to Southern California in that we go further in-depth into the skills that blind and visually impaired individuals need in order to compete for livable and sustainable employment. Our program is intense and demanding. We provide intensive one-on-one instruction tailored to meet each student’s specific needs.

You will learn:

  • JAWS (Job Access With Speech)
  • ZoomText 
  • Microsoft Office Suite
  • Windows Narrator 
  • and more!

Our students:

Build confidence, gain independence, and self-empowerment. Students graduate from our program ready to pursue employment or higher education. Many have found employment with notable organizations, like the County of San Diego, the Braille Institute, and the US Navy.
