We've Expanded Our Reach

The Digital Bridge Initiative

As was recognized in recent years, the breadth of online commercial and governmental services means it is necessary to not only have a computer and internet access but also to be online savvy in order to take advantage of the opportunities for education, employment, and civic engagement. To help address this challenge, SDFF has initiated a new program offering called The Digital Bridge.

This initiative is a necessary and impactful step towards bridging the digital divide in San Diego County. By advancing digital literacy and providing comprehensive training, the program not only equips individuals with essential skills but also drives economic growth, fosters community development, and sets a foundation for generational uplift.

Continued support and expansion of this program are crucial to ensuring that all community members have the opportunity to thrive in the digital age.

The Digital Bridge initiative is celebrating a promising beginning, with dedicated Hoover High School students eager to dive into the tech world. This ambitious cohort is on track to achieve CompTIA certification, gaining not only valuable hands-on tech experience but also community-focused training. These future tech leaders are learning to harness the power of technology responsibly, aiming to contribute positively to their communities as skilled professionals. Our program is proud to support these young innovators, who are already making significant strides toward a bright, responsible future in technology.

SDFF's Digital Bridge Initiative

For well over 25 years, SDFF has been a positive force within San Diego County.  The goal of the Digital Bridge program is to broaden our services to reach communities we don't regularly serve.  Check out the program video to learn more about how this program is making a difference in San Diego County.
