Student Spotlight: Kudos to Ricardo Rodriguez!

Ricardo Rodriguez, who always had a love for technology, came into our program and despite challenges he faced, along with a visual impairment and a 3-hour bus commute to and from class, breezed through San Diego Future Foundation’s CompTIA A+ Youth IT Program.

Ricardo is now employed with Eco-ATM as a service technician where he fixes problems for customers, remotely, through an online ticketing system. Following a temporary hire opportunity through Manpower Staffing agency, Ricardo showed the value of his work ethic and determination to be hired as a full-time employee. He challenges himself daily to complete as many help/support tickets as possible.

Besides his stellar work within the IT field, Ricardo remains a staunch advocate of SDFF, Foster Youth Initiatives and the disabled community and spends most of his free time volunteering for those causes. He continues to maintain his learning in the IT field as he prepares for his next certification.
