RECYCLING >> COMPUTER RECYCLING
Since 1999, the San Diego Futures Foundation has been providing technology and technical services to San Diego nonprofits, schools, and low-income families. We are able to do this through the donation of reusable and recyclable PCs and electronics. If you have old computers, monitors, TVs and electronics, also called ewaste, to get rid of, you can recycle it with the San Diego Futures Foundation and support the community at the same time. SDFF's mission is to help San Diego nonprofits, schools, and families through education and programs focused on technology. San Diego businesses and individuals can recycle old computers and help the community of San Diego at the same time. The San Diego Futures Foundation (SDFF) provides a quick and easy way to get rid of your old PC. Individuals can simply call us at (619) 269-1684 extension 201 or submit a request using Recycle Form. SDFF will arrange to pick up 25 pieces of equipment or more. If you are a business in San Diego County with a large quantity of computers and/or electronics to recycle, please visit our Recycling for Businesses page. Why Recycle your old PC? Electronics such as computers, monitors, and TVs contain high amounts of lead and other toxic chemicals (especially old monitors and televisions). Taking them to a certified recycling center ensures that those chemicals don't make their way into the environment. |
