Get Connected! Internet Fair for 50+

The San Diego Futures Foundation co-sponsored the Get Connected Fair for 50+ in conjunction with the County of San Diego, AARP, and the San Diego Technology and Aging Coalition.

  • The event promotes technology for the aging population, including
  • Raises public awareness about technology, education, social services
  • Internet access and the goals for closing the Digital Divide
  • Generating a unifying network of local community-based organizations, corporate sponsors and media in support of digital literacy
  • Providing an educational and entertaining venue for older adults to learn about local community-based programs
  • Demonstrating how Broadband Internet can Increase access to online services and opportunities for individuals Improve awareness of social, city and community issues

Tech Center Grand Opening

Please join SDFF for the grand opening of the SDFF Community Technology Center (CTC) on Saturday, September 10, from 9am to 11am. There will be prizes, giveaways, and a host of speakers including San Diego County Supervisor Ron Roberts and San Diego City Councilwoman Marti Emerald to help us welcome the latest addition to SDFF.

The CTC is located at 4305 University Avenue, Suite 200, in City Heights. The event will take place at the nearby Farmers Market.

TIG Fund Raiser

SDFF was fortunate to be selected as the charity to receive proceeds from local IT company Technology Integration Group at their 18th Annual Corporate Club Classic Charity Golf Tournament. The event was held at the Crosby golf course in Rancho Sante Fe on June 7, 2011.
